The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin is committed to improving the overall health of Wisconsin families. As part of this commitment, the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin not only educates and supports awareness and prevention of chronic kidney disease and all organ transplantation but also of diabetes and high blood pressure. Diabetes and high blood pressure are major contributors to the development of chronic kidney disease. In order to increase awareness and prevention, the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin provides programs and resources on health and wellness in three venues.

  • Guest speaker programs on a variety of related topics offed simultaneously as a live-streamed online webinar and as a face to face live program.
  • Development of company specific wellness presentations and resource materials for corporate wellness planning.
  • Informational exhibits on a wide range of topics that can be developed for health fairs, company conferences or an organization’s meeting.

Corporate Wellness Partnering

The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin can partner with local businesses to create a culture of health and well-being by creating programs where most Americans spend a lot of time – at work. A healthier workforce leads to happier employees, improved morale, increased productivity and lowered healthcare cost. The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin offers customized programs to meet the wellness goals and objectives of the individual company. These programs can be:

  • Onsite “Lunch and Learn” presentations
  • Exhibits at onsite health fairs
  • Provision of relevant materials for company wellness centers

Informational Health Exhibits

Need a display about kidney health or kidney disease for your upcoming health fair? The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin can create informational health exhibits customized to a targeted audience, a particular focus topic, or specific educational goals and objectives. An exhibit can cover one or more of the following topics:

  • Good kidney health
  • Risk factors and prevention of diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic kidney disease
  • Healthy eating and nutrition
  • Information on dialysis and transplantation
  • Becoming a living donor or general organ donation

An exhibit could also include resources such as any of the National Kidney Foundation's informational brochures and information on programs developed by the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin such as Living Well Before & After, Save a Life – It’s in You, and Keep Healthy Screenings. In addition, information can be available on local support groups, financial assistance and general local health resources.
