Kidney Adventures 2024

Kidney health is not a moment in time, it is a journey with many twists and turns. No two stories are alike, but talking about kidneys and transplantation is the first step in building a healthier Wisconsin. Follow along with National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin May 6 through July 27 as we explore stories of patients, living donors, and health professionals from across our kidney community. On July 27 at 10:00 AM we will gather at Brittingham Park Pavilion in Madison, WI for a casual Summer Celebration.

There are many ways that you can join in Kidney Adventures 2024:

  • Share your Journey with kidney disease or organ transplantation and form a fundraising team
  • Raise Awareness by sharing our kidney adventures on social media
  • Invest in Kidney Health and Transplant with a gift to National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin
  • Attend the Summer Celebration on July 27 to learn more about NKFW’s work and connect with others in the kidney community

Stay tuned for the launch of Kidney Adventures in May 2024!

Spotlight on Life 2024

On World Kidney Day, March 14, 2024, more than 200 friends and supporters of National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) gathered for the 2024 Spotlight on Life Gala in Pewaukee, WI. This incredible night brought members of Wisconsin’s kidney community together to celebrate more healthy years for kidney and transplant patients across the state. Thank you to the amazing sponsors and volunteers for bringing this event to life! Together, we raised more than $83,000 to support the mission and programs of NKFW.

The night would not have been complete without our emcee Elizabeth Kay (living donor and radio personality). Special thanks to our 2024 Spotlight Storytellers Michelle Schuerman, Sarah Weaver, and Dick Hanusa – by sharing your experiences of kidney disease and transplant, you give hope to our community.

Whether you attended the event in person or cheered us on from home, thank you for joining National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin in the fight for kidney health. Together, we can put more health in the years of kidney and transplant patients. Check back in the fall for details on Spotlight on Life Gala 2025!
