In March 2026, on World Kidney Day, National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin celebrated alongside our amazing kidney and transplant community at the Spotlight on Life Gala. This inspiring evening of shared stories, living donation and hope. A special thanks to our 2026 Spotlight Storyteller, Andrea Weisman, who shared how her journey with NKFW led her to become a living donor. We were grateful to recognize Dr. Ahmed Malik, as the inaugural recipient of the Kidney Health Champion Award as well as the Wisconsin Living Organ Donation and Transplantation Poster Contest winner at the event.

Kidney Adventures
July 26, 2025 dozens of NKFW community members gathered at Brittingham Park in Madison to pay tribute and celebrate the mission of National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin. The rain paused just long enough for walkers to make it around the course. Then, we gathered under the shelter of the pavilion for snacks and awards, including recognition of the high school artists who participated in the Wisconsin Living Organ and Transplantation Poster Contest.
