Community Health Care Access Day

 

Join Health Connections Inc. and the Milwaukee Black Grassroots Network for Health Equity for Milwaukee’s Community Health Care Access 2026 Showcase & Rally on Saturday, June 6, 2026. This community-centered event will bring together trusted organizations, health care providers, and local resources to address growing health care access challenges facing Milwaukee residents, including barriers to preventive care, rising uninsured rates, clinic closures, and food insecurity. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with organizations offering education, support services, wellness resources, and opportunities for ongoing care within the community.

This event is free and open to the public.

Renal Roundtable: Discussion of FSGS

Join us for an informative discussion on the management of Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), featuring current treatment guidelines and newly approved therapeutics presented through a case-based approach. Our presenter, Dr. Tripti Singh from UW Health will provide expert insight into evolving care strategies and real-world clinical applications for patients living with FSGS.

NKFW Renal Professional Conference 2026

The NKFW RENAL PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE (RPC-WI) is an opportunity for dietitians, social workers, nurses, dialysis technicians, transplant coordinators, and providers working in all aspects of kidney health to network, share best practices, and earn eight (8) continuing education credits. This event will be returning to the DoubleTree Madison East in 2026 with our Welcome Reception on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 followed by a full day of accredited conference sessions on Thursday, November 12.

Renal Roundtable: CKD Pillars of Care

The landscape of kidney care has shifted dramatically over the past decade. New therapeutics promise to change the course of prevent chronic kidney disease progression, but how can we best incorporate these advances into our clinics? Join us for a renal roundtable dinner to review advances in Cardiometabolic Kidney Disease and strategies for adoption in Wisconsin kidney patients. We will talk about hypoglycemic agents, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists, early screening efforts, and potassium goals.

This Renal Roundtable will be held on Thursday, June 11 at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse (15665 W Bluemound Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005).

National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin is proud to celebrate kidney health and organ transplantation with the 2027 Spotlight on Life Gala on March 18, 2027. This event will include auctions, games, and storytelling. Attendees are invited to add a pop of NKF orange with their cocktail attire.

Papa Hawk 5th Annual Golf Outing

The Papa Hawk 5th Annual Golf Outing will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie, Wisconsin. Please reach out to organizers directly as registration tends to sell out early.

Proceeds of this event benefit National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.

Screening: Spring Health and Wellness Gathering

NKFW is pleased to join our partners at Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin at the Hmong American Peace Academy (4601 N 84th St, Milwaukee, WI 53225) for the Spring Health and Wellness Gathering on Saturday, April 25, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. In addition to NKFW’s kidney health screening, the event will include Hepatitis B, blood pressure, and blood sugar screenings as well as education on organ transplantation and stroke.

Vin Baker, along with Bango, from the Milwaukee Bucks will be making a visit during the event! There will also be free raffles for autographed Bucks merchandise and $20 food vouchers for attendees while supplies last!

Pause to Give Life – West Bend High School

National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin is pleased to join our partners at West Bend High School and Versiti in celebrating Donate Life Month at West Bend High School on April 17th at 8:30 AM.

This event will include a Donate Life flag raising, personal experiences with living donation and organ transplantation. It is open to the public and photo ID is required to enter West Bend High School.
