Prevention is key in the fight against kidney disease. Through free kidney health screenings, community presentations, and informational tables – you empower Wisconsinites to take control of their kidney health.

It is difficult to imagine just how hard life with kidney failure is until you spend time with the patients and health professionals who live it every day. You create spaces for these kidney warriors to share experiences, learn about kidney disease, and feel heard.

You are helping normalize living organ donation. Participation in our Living Donors Together community has grown by more than 35% in three years. This growth shows how community support is inspiring more people to consider giving the gift of life.

Before joining NKFW, Mike thought that living donors needed to be superheroes. You changed his mind. By continuing to share the need, educate people on the donation process, and share stories of organ transplantation, we will keep changing minds.
