Nurses Needed!
KIDNEY SCREENINGS
The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin relies on nursing professionals to
conduct its community kidney screening programs. Since diabetes and high blood
pressure are the two leading causes of chronic kidney disease, the NKFW works
with community and other health organizations to offer kidney and other health
screenings to promote awareness and early referrals to healthcare providers.
This past year, the NKFW screened over 1,088
adults focusing on those counties where there is the highest incidence of
individuals diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Won't you help us reach more
people?
Call 262-821-0705 ext. 10 to volunteer.
NOT A NURSE, BUT KNOW ABOUT KIDNEY DISEASE
OR ORGAN DONATION/TRANSPLANTATION?
HEALTH FAIRS
In the last twelve months, the NKFW has been a part of 68 community health
fairs. We need volunteers who will help spread the word about the risk factors
for chronic kidney disease and the critical need for organ and tissue donation.
To volunteer,
contact the NKFW at 1-800-543-6393 ext 10 or 262-821-0705, ext 10.
