Mission: The mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
Vision: The vision of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to be the leading public health resource on kidney health in Wisconsin and to reduce the impact of chronic kidney disease (CKD) on those who are at-risk or affected by CKD.
Strategic Goals: The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) will:
- Promote the identification of and directly impact the health of individuals who are at-risk for chronic kidney disease.
- Provide relevant educational, support and trainings to enhance the medical, self-management and health advocacy behaviors of individuals with CKD.
- Engage in community, workplace, family, faith-based and public policy or public relations initiatives that support kidney health, organ donation, and early transplantation and/or elevate kidney disease as a public health concern.
- Increase the social capital and capacity of the NKFW.
- Raise sufficient funds and strategically manage investments to ensure the organizational stability and growth of the NKFW.
